It’s been a while since i’ve shared a non-wedding set on here. While I still mostly photograph weddings, i do love when I get to switch it up a little bit. ;) I photographed baby Ethan in Paul and Sara’s home, and returning to photograph a previous wedding couple’s growing family made this session especially meaningful. This intimate in-home newborn session captured quiet, slow moments and purposeful family connection: soft natural light, cozy nursery details, and candid newborn cuddles. I get so thrilled when I am asked to continue documenting life’s milestones from my previous couples — it’s truly so special to be able to capture the big days… and small additions.

Love a good manhattan backdrop!! There’s something about a family session that can feel refreshing after the long wedding days. As a new mom myself, yes, trying to gather kids can be stressful but these sessions can also be playful and fun! I try to tell the family, to just embrace the kids as they are and we can try to work around them — maybe you’ll come home with one or two photos of everyone looking at the camera, but there’ll be sooo much more laughs if we let the tickling, running around, and playing happen. After all, parenthood is not picture perfect journey, so our photos capturing that moment shouldn’t be any different.

Boy do I love a wedding in a cute, little quaint town. Sara and Paul had a beautiful fall wedding and exchanged vows at Prallsville Mills in Stockton, New Jersey, surrounded by the warm hues of autumn and with the love of their family and friends. The historic charm of the inn provided the perfect backdrop for their special day, adding a touch of old-world romance to their modern celebration. The whole day felt so intimate and sweet, and might me up there with one of my favorite weddings from start to finish. :O
